Dr. M.A. Shaikh holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Shaikh worked in the American industry for nearly 20 years before joining Florida Tech., where he is professor of management science with assignments in the School of Business and in the College of Engineering. He continues to consult with local corporations in the areas of Management Science/Operations Research, Statistics, Simulation, System/Software Engineering, SPCFTQM, and Reliability. Dr. Shaikh's work and consulting experience includes projects across a wide variety of disciplines and business sectors. His experience includes applications of the state of-the-art techniques in solving a variety of management problems at Caterpillar Inc. He also developed complex algorithms and simulation programs in solving defense related problems. Dr. Shaikh has published or presented several articles in journals and conferences. He was recipient of the School of Business " Teacher of the Year award in 1991 and 1995. |
