The Indus Foundation, New Jersey is pleased to invite Principals, Managements, and Students to meet with the officials of American universities who will be touring India from April 14 to 23, 2008. 

The Indus Foundation is an American educational organization dedicated to the promotion of higher education for the growing student population of India. The Foundation is well established in the USA and India for around 12 years, with its own extensive network of offices. It is committed to assisting Indian institutions for collaborating with accredited American universities and helping Indian students for study in good accredited American universities. The motto of the Indus Foundation is: Educational Excellence Without Borders. 

The Indus Foundation has invited the following officials of accredited American universities to tour India for arranging educational collaborations with Indian institutions and for assisting students for study in America. Educational collaborations between Indian institutions and American universities include offering of collaborative American degree, diploma, and certificate programs in India, offering of American distance education programs, development of twinning / transfer programs, forging of faculty & student exchanges, and setting up of study in India programs for American students.

Educational Collaboration 

Educational collaborations promote universal and equitable access to education, and develop in students the knowledge, confidence, and requisite skills to become lifelong learners and economic competitors in a dynamic global marketplace. An important mission of the Indus Foundation is to galvanize high-impact educational collaborations between educational entities in India on the one hand and those in the USA on the other. The Foundation acts as an

internationally recognized support system for 21st Century education for bridging the education divide. 

The Indus Foundation recognizes that collaborative graduate and post-graduate programs, twinning / transfer programs, certificate programs, distance education programs, faculty & student exchange programs, and study abroad in India programs, between Indian institutions and American universities are extremely useful in meeting the rapidly growing Indian educational needs. These programs contribute to the goal of preparing students to compete in the global economy.  The staff of the Indus Foundation has expertise in the Indian and American educational systems. Over the years, the staff has developed extensive contacts with a wide array of accredited American universities.

Mr. S.B.Anumolu 

Mr. S.B.Anumolu, 62, is the President of the Indus Foundation, New Jersey, which was founded in 1995. Mr. Anumolu obtained his Master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Management , Bangalore (IIM-B). Mr. Anumolu joined the Indian Police Service (IPS) in 1969 and was trained at Mt. Abu. He worked for 15 years in various senior level positions including that of Deputy Inspector General of Police before leaving Government service. He received letters of commendation from the Government for the good work done. He worked as Managing Director of an industry for 6 years and gained valuable hands-on experience in  industrial management. He also worked as Managing Director of a management consulting company for six years and led several business delegations to the USA, Canada, Japan, the UAE, and other Gulf countries. 
 

PROFILES OF AMERICAN UNIVERSITIES 
 

1. UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA LOS ANGELES EXTENSION 
One of America's largest and most prestigious continuing higher education providers, UCLA Extension has served students since 1917. Each year they offer 4,500 courses and programs, linking 65,000 adults of diverse backgrounds to enhanced career, academic, and personal growth opportunities through lifelong learning.  Designed to meet the needs of working professionals, UCLA Extension's diverse range of certificate programs offer specialized training and education beyond what is available at either the graduate or post-graduate level for working professionals. Individuals earn certificates to make a career change, seek a promotion, explore new fields, document formal application-based education, and stay current with new technologies. 2. LONG ISLAND UNIVERSITY, C.W.POST, NEW YORK 
Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus, is a prestigious private educational institution widely recognized for its quality academic programs, renowned faculty, nationally respected Cooperative Education program, as well as its magnificent 308-acre campus. With a tradition of excellence since 1954, C.W. Post offers nearly 250 academic programs at Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral levels. The university admits students for Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. The university has agreed to accept three-year degree students (B.A., B.Com, B.Sc., etc.) to some of their Master’s programs. The university has several programs which are of interest to Indian students, such as MBA, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Clinical Psychology, Environmental Science, Medical Biology, Medical Chemistry, Immunology, etc. 

3. OREGON INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, OREGON 
Oregon Institute of Technology is considered as one of the top engineering colleges of America. Oregon Institute of Technology earned the No. 10 spot among Baccalaureate Colleges in the West in the 2008 edition of "America's Best Colleges" by U.S. News & World Report. The university also ranked fourth in the western ranking of the Top Public Baccalaureate Colleges. The institute provides graduate and post-graduate degrees in many technical and health related fields.  It celebrates its 60th anniversary in the 2007-08 academic year.  The university remains dedicated to hands-on learning opportunities and personal connection with each student. Students find that  curriculum is tailored to meet the needs of industry; faculty members know and understand the current conditions and concerns of the “real world.”   The institute offers several programs of interest to Indian students such as Engineering (various branches), MIS, Medical Imaging Technology, Respiratory Care, Dental Hygiene, Renewable Energy Systems, etc. 

4. THE COLLEGE OF SAINT ROSE, NEW YORK 
The College of Saint Rose has been recognized as one of "The Top 70 Best Northern Universities”  by the U.S. News and World Report. The College of Saint Rose is accredited fully by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York. The College is dynamic and comprehensive with more than 5,300 students in which teaching is the first priority. Located in the heart of Albany, New York State’s Capital City, the College is a private, independent, coeducational college. The College offers: 60 graduate programs and 43 post-graduate programs.  At Master's level, this university has several programs of interest to Indian students such as Bioinformatics, Computer Game Design, Internet Programming, Embedded Real-Time Systems, MBA, Physical Therapy, and Occupational Therapy. 
 

5. GEORGE MASON UNIVERSITY - VIRGINIA, UAE CAMPUS 
When the prestigious George Mason University, Virginia, USA, decided to expand internationally, it looked worldwide and decided to set up its campus in UAE to serve the interests of students in Asia. George Mason University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). The admissions requirements at the UAE campus are the same as the requirements for George Mason University in USA. Students admitted to George Mason University, UAE get their degrees from George Mason University, USA. The UAE campus is less costly and has several programs of interest to Indian students such as Engineering (various branches), Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems, Tourism, etc. 
 

6. SAM HOUSTON STATE UNIVERSITY, TEXAS 
Sam Houston State University, a member institution in The Texas State University System, is organized academically into five colleges: Arts and Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Education and Applied Science,Business Administration, and Criminal Justice. Students are offered an extensive range of bachelor’s and master’s degrees, as well as doctoral programs.  The faculty and the university are recognized regionally, nationally, and internationally. The university is comparatively less expensive despite being a top class institution. It offers several programs of interest to Indian students such as Agriculture, Computer Science, MBA, MIS, Criminal Justice, Finance, Forensic Science, Clinical Psychology, Kinesiology, Instructional Technology, etc. 
 

7. DEVRY UNIVERSITY, CAMPUSES IN USA AND CANADA 
Devry University has several campuses in the USA and Canada.  Devry University is career oriented with more than 90% of its students getting jobs immediately after completing their degree in their chosen professional field. Devry University offers several career oriented programs in the fields of Business & Management, Information Technology, and Engineering.
