University of Bridgeport The University of Bridgeport is an international, doctoral intensive comprehensive university, with award-winning academic programs. At the University of Bridgeport students can earn degrees in 120 innovative undergraduate and graduate degree programs. We are among America's strongest international universities with 25 percent of our students coming from overseas. Since the 1950s, the University of Bridgeport has been reaching out to students and institutions of higher learning in India. Over the years UB has been home to hundreds of Indian students and scholars from all parts of India. Students have become successful in their careers in India and in other parts of the world, including the United States. In addition, many students have gone to graduate, doctoral and post-doctoral studies at the finest universities in the U.S. Indian faculty at UB teach in the fields of Business, Engineering, and other areas of study as well. Many of our Indian students have enrolled in our undergraduate and graduate programs in Business and Engineering. However, increasingly the choice of degree programs by Indian students has become more varied. Indian students are enrolled in areas of Global Development and Peace, Human Nutrition, Mass Communication, Design, International Political Economy and Diplomacy, as well as other areas of study. Today the University of Bridgeport is actively seeking to establish relation with institutions of higher learning throughout India. We seek to establish student and faculty exchanges in a variety of areas. Areas of research that are currently available at UB include Tissue Regeneration, Tissue Engineering, Biorobotics , Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI), Wireless Communication The University of Bridgeport has a long and rich history of partnerships with non-US institutions, and as one of the most diverse universities in the U.S., the University frequently receive requests from overseas educational institutions seeking formal relationships. As a general guideline, the University seeks affiliation only with accredited/recognized institutions. In most instances, this means formal recognition by the Ministry of Education (Department of Education, Commission of Higher Education). If there is a different system of accreditation/recognition, the institution will be required to submit documentation of its accredited status. |
