About Us

  • NCBT (Newton College of Business and Technology) is a New Zealand based provider of National Qualifications and programs linked to the National Qualifications Framework.
  • NCBT is located in Newton, close to Auckland's city centre. It is only a few minutes walking distance to rail, bus and motorway systems.
  • Our teaching facilities include air-conditioned classrooms, and fully computerized on-line teaching systems.
  • All our staff has relevant university qualifications and is experienced in their industry fields.  
  • We also have a full time student welfare service to ensure your stay in Auckland is safe and enjoyable.
  • Our company has been actively involved in training and consulting to industry since 1993 and has been an accredited provider since 1995.
  • We offer small, interactive classes that enable us to provide a high level of individual attention. 
  • At NCBT, learning is a combination of simulated workplace activities, discussions, theory lessons, projects, role-plays and other practical demonstrations.
  • New Zealand is one of the first places in the world to see the new day, 12 hours ahead of GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).
  • In summer New Zealand uses daylight saving, with clocks put forward one hour to GMT+13. Daylight saving begins on the last Sunday in September and ends on the third Sunday of the following March, when clocks are put back to GMT+12.

Entry requirements:

  • Requirement of IELTS of 5.0 or above OR TOEFL 550  for (NDC) Level 5
  • Requirement of IELTS of 5.5 (NDB) Level 5
  • An overall IELTS (Academic) band score of 5.5 (DCNS) Level 6
  • Requirement of IELTS of 5.5 or above OR TOEFL 550 or above  (Dip FTV) LEVEL 5
  • OR an On site interview with a qualified NCBT staff member
  • Completion of secondary schooling to year 12
  • Minimum age 18
