From its start in 1917 as a mining and agricultural school, UAF has become America’s arctic university and the flagship of the state’s university system. Estimated Expenses for International Students Fall 2009-Spring 2010 
Nine-Month Academic Year, September through May

The costs listed above are approximate costs for one academic year (9 months). Add approximately $3,600.00 for summer living expenses. Transportation costs are not included. If you are bringing family members with you, you must have approximately $6,000.00 in additional support per dependent to cover the increased cost of room, board, and insurance.

Residents of countries which hold approved Sister City/Sister Province agreements (PUNE, INDIA), qualify for resident tuition. Undergraduate resident tuition is approximately $3,600.00. Graduate resident tuition is approximately $5,690.00 for the nine-month academic year.
