Clarkson University

RESEARCH COLLABORATIONS

Clarkson’s primary research strengths are in engineering and science including mathematics and computer science. Current focus areas for research are in sustainable energy, especially wind, photovoltaics and biofuels. Nanomaterials, and other advanced materials are also a focus. All areas of applied mathematics and computer science are also strong. IN the Business area, global supply chain management is a particular strength.

DEGREE AND DIPLOMA PROGRAMS

Our business programs have a requirement for some study abroad. I think developing relations with Indian Institutions would be beneficial there and for other Clarkson program across the STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).

TWINNING / TRANSFER PROGRAMS

Exploring such possibilities is of interest but we have no specific target programs for this.

DISTANCE EDUCATION PROGRAMS

We have some distance education options, including an online MBA. Recruitng students for our own campus is a higher priority at this time.

STUDY ABROAD IN INDIA PROGRAMS

This may be especially interesting for our Global Supply Chain program. Our Careers/ Study Abroad office is more involved with this aspect.

STUDY TOUR OF INDIA PROGRAMS

There is considerable interest in organized study tours of short duration (2 weeks) in India by citizens in the local community. As the university becomes more involved in international education, many requests have come from the community at-large regarding establishing a short tour for local teachers, retirees, senior citizens, and various community groups.

PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMS

This is a possibility we may wish to explore but no detailed plans in this area at this time.

RECRUITMENT OF STUDENTS
