This course will teach
Microsoft Visual Basic programmers and web developers
the fundamentals of web application site implementation
by using Microsoft ASP.N
ET and Visual Basic .NET.
It focuses on using the Microsoft Visual Studio
.NET environment and the Microsoft .NET platform
to create an ASP .NET web application that delivers
dynamic content to a website.
You will learn about the Microsoft .NET Framework
and ASP .NET, create an ASP .NET application using
Visual Studio .NET, add server controls to an
ASP .NET web form, create and populate ASP .NET
web forms, add functionality to server controls
on the ASP .NET web forms, use trace and debug
objects, use validation controls, create a user
control. You will also learn how to access data
using built-in data access tools, use Microsoft
ADO .NET to access data in an ASP .NET application,
and accomplish complex data access tasks. In addition
you'll learn how to access XML data and read it
into datasets, call an XML Web service from an
ASP .NET web application and incorporate the returned
data into a web application, store application
and session data, and configure and deploy an
ASP .NET web application.
